Day hike in Oklahoma with Ray and Jen!

The Wichita Mountains & Wildlife Refuge is beautiful area of land, and it was the perfect day to go hiking.
Our goals were to hike a 'difficult trail' and photograph their new merchandise for the gram of Insta.
As we walked to the beginning of the trail, I facetiously asked Ray if it was truly a 'difficult' trail.
"Yeah, that's what All Trails says." I was only a little skeptical, because I had been hiking with Ray and Jen before, and it was never a situation where I felt like my abilities were inadequate.
"I like that boulder. That is a nice boulder."

This was one of the hardest dang, free-roaming American poor excuse of a 'trail' I've ever hiked.
More like,
"Jump onto that boulder and parkour to the next without dying"
Needless to say, it was rightly listed as 'difficult.'
Murphy's Law
The night before I was to go hiking, I was getting all of my gear ready, when I swung my leg over the couch to crawl over and basically broke my toe. Pretty sure it was just sprained, but I fell to the floor crying out, "I've been shot!"

When we arrived, I was testing out the lighting and camera settings when my kit lens (18-55) decided it no longer wanted to work the way I'd like it to. Who needs autofocus in an action setting?
Oh, and my shoe fell apart.
Shout out to Ray who sacrificed his man bun to fix my shoe.
Challenge accepted. Shoot this whole trip with a broken toe, 24 mm, and a janky shoe.

Up we go!

What hiking this trail was like.
Look at Ray's face!

Once we made it to the top, it was worth every scrape.

This one was the real show stopper, though

Thank you both for everything ya'll have done for me. More adventures!
